Improv Evolving : Diversity in Play

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Attendees gain a deeper experiential understanding of how improvisational play carries in its very DNA an inclusive attitude inviting all players to share imaginations, make discoveries
together and build community.

Participants play improv games used by NGO Laughter for a Change in diverse programs
including “Comedy in Rwanda”; “Fist Bump!” an improv-based anti-bullying education program; and “Improv China” which brought the power of collaborative play to young Chinese creatives. The workshop includes dialogues on the history and future of improv as a model for humanistic interaction and positive problem solving.

Ed Greenberg

Ed Greenberg worked closely with Del Close on the early experiments in long form improv (he was on the stage the day “Harold” was born). Ed succeeded Del as director at The Second City, Chicago. He is currently Executive Director at Laughter for a Change.
