Beyond Ice Breakers: Writing Improv for the Academy

Exploring a variety of discipline specific applications and theories, attendees who are interested in writing and presenting in scholarly contexts, will gain ideas for presenting improvisation as a pedagogical tool.
Despite its benefits, academics may be reluctant to consider improvisation as a valid training paradigm. Scholarly writing about improvisation can be a tool for increasing acceptance and establishing AI as an important area for research and practice.  We will examine successful approaches and make use of group knowledge, and expertise, to explore discipline specific strategies for framing such scholarship.
