Exercises to Strengthen Intercultural Competencies and Code Shift

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Use improv exercises as a self/group diagnostic. Codeshift into client’s language. Uncover 4 distinct responses to ambiguity. Appreciate the connection between intercultural competence and an improvisational mindset.
While clients may have an idea of how they would react to an ambiguous intercultural interaction, do they truly know how they would react in the moment? Come to this session to see how two interculturalists use improv exercises as intercultural self-diagnostics. See how discrete amounts of randomness intersect with a defined structure so clients can have clear takeaways they can use.
